On the strength of their experience, its directors have chosen to focus their work on the quality teaching of French Sign Language (LSF in French), with a view to its harmonious protection and promotion. It focuses on three main lines:

  • French Sign Language teaching
  • Training
  • Research

One of the courses offered by Visuel – Langue des Signes Française is the preparation of interpreter training with the acquisition of French Sign Language conformity levels. (B2, C1 and C2)

University training

The French Professional Bachelor’s Degree: « Cued Speech Coder (French Cued Speech) » provides professionals working with deaf young people integrating the school and university environment with good knowledge of LPC code through theoretical and practical training. This course will enable them to convey all the oral messages in French to young deaf people using LPC (French Cued Speech).

The French association « les 2 mains » was created with a view to improving and promoting communication and teaching of LSF (French Sign Language) in the life of each individual. The sign language training is accessible to all, whether employees paid for by their companies, parents of deaf children, the deaf and hearing-impaired, students, job seekers and private individuals.
The association’s team is available to help applicants find the product best suited to their needs (funding opportunities, help with procedures, etc.).

Aris is the French Regional Association for the Integration of the Deaf, a non-profit association under the law of 1901, created in 1996 in order to meet the needs of the deaf by providing them with human support for communication.

This association’s policy is to meet a person’s needs, by integrating him into a career path identified by its partners and financers.
By constantly trying to reply to requests, the members undertake to ensure a service of the best quality possible.
They offer several services:

  • A French Sign Language interpreters’ service
  • French Cued Speech coders
  • Note takers
  • Specialist support teachers

Finally, Aris is specialised in institutional French Sign Language training for companies or administrative services able to cater for deaf people or colleagues.

WebSourd

WebSourd's logo

WebSourd is a French company which is a product of a meeting between the network of deaf people and the network of cooperative companies. WebSourd’s aim is to implement accessibility services for the deaf and to develop tools
and professions which favour their independence and civic participation.

One of the solutions offered by WebSourd is Elison Accueil.
Elision Accueil is a service for organisations catering for deaf people communicating by means of sign language. It enables the deaf and non-deaf person welcoming him to exchange with each other in complete freedom.
Designed as much for administrations and the public service, as for private structures, this solution aims to improve the accessibility of these structures’ services for the deaf and hearing-impaired. This solution could improve exchanges between all individuals.
